Spottr for Gym owners
Gym software your members will actually open.
The timetable and the register for you. A real training log for them. One published price, and a door out that we document.
You are choosing software you will be stuck with for years, from four vendors who will not tell you what it costs until you sit through a demo.
Here today
built and workingYour timetable, bookable
Schedule the classes you run, cap each one, take bookings, read the register. The capacity is enforced in the database, so two people cannot take the same last spot.
A listing people can find
Your gym in a shared directory with distance search, so somebody standing on your street can find you without knowing your name. Verified badges are ours to give, not yours to award yourself.
Your members get the log, free
Not a booking screen with your logo on it. The full training log, at no extra cost, on every plan. Three of the four biggest platforms charge between $79 and $250 a month to put your name on a member app; this one does not have that line item.
Not yet
does not existNamed rather than hinted at. Four of the thirteen platforms in this market will not tell you what they cost at all; none of them will tell you what they cannot do.
Memberships and recurring billing, the big one
Spottr cannot take a monthly membership payment on your behalf. This is the single largest gap and the honest read is that it is the thing a gym actually buys: a billing engine with a schedule attached. Until it exists, Spottr is not a replacement for the system that collects your money, and we will not pretend otherwise.
Check-in, door access and a front desk
No kiosk, no turnstile integration, no fob. Door hardware in particular is unlikely ever to be built, the research on it says integrate with what is on the wall or leave it alone.
Freezes, on-holds and dunning
The unglamorous machinery around a membership, pausing it, extending it, retrying a failed card four times, does not exist. It is also the machinery that decides whether a gym can switch, so it is being built before anything more visible.
Point of sale and retail
No cash drawer, no stock, no variants. Deliberately, and probably permanently: it drags in hardware and a second business model.
And what they get
The half of this market nobody bothers with
This is the part worth reading twice. Every member app in this category is a booking screen, open it, find Tuesday 6am, tap, close. Spottr's is a training log that people use on days they are not booking anything: their last set already on screen, records found automatically, works with no signal in the weights room. The pitch to your members is not "install our new software", it is "here is the app you were going to look for anyway, and your timetable is in it".
What it costs
Your own training
Free
Logging, routines, the calendar, sharing, the directory and classes. Not a trial of these, and no card to start.
Depth, per person
$5.00/mo
Long-term progress charts and coaching a roster. No card to start, and everything else stays free. $50.00 a year if you prefer.
There is no venue plan yet, and no price for one
Everything above is per person. A plan for a business does not exist, because the things a business would be paying for, memberships, recurring billing, waitlists, check-in, are the things listed under “not yet”. When it exists, its price will be a number on the pricing page.
Coming from Mindbody or Glofox?
Your own training history imports, a delimited file, with you confirming which column is which before a row is written, free and with no subscription first. A list of other people does not yet, and pretending otherwise would be the first broken promise. What there is either way: nothing to unpick if you change your mind. Everything you put into Spottr comes back out as a spreadsheet, on any plan, including one that has lapsed, with one click and no support ticket.

- a spreadsheet
Bringing a list of people across is the biggest single blocker in this market, and it is being built. In the meantime there is something more useful than a promise: exactly which fields survive an export from your current platform, including the ones that do not, which is the list nobody else publishes.
The fair objection
“Migration will cost me members.”
It might, and anyone who tells you otherwise has not done one. What we can do is not make it worse: every set and session in Spottr comes out as a spreadsheet, on any plan, including a lapsed one, with one click and no support ticket. There is a page documenting exactly what leaving looks like before you have even signed up. The eight-week onboarding and the export you have to ask for are the two complaints that recur most in this market, and both are choices a vendor makes.
Start free, decide later.
No card, and a free tier that does not expire. Pay only if the paid part turns out to be worth it.
